Default Retry - how long do we have?

A couple of weeks ago I played an acrostic and, when I went to submit it, I got the message that "this site is down for repairs" (or however they phrased it, but that's what the message meant.) When I tried to get back to the puzzle the next day by going to the "recent games" tab, there was no red "retry" listed. It's bugging me because my solve rate is always 100% except when something like this happens. The only other time it happened is when I lost my internet connection.

If something like that happens again, is there anything I can do to restore my solve percentage to 100%?

Angry website error causing glitch, no retry

Just had the same thing happen last night. Could not get back into website, retry no longer an option. It's one of the bad things about this website. I get so annoyed about this kind of thing that I go away for years at a time. Then I come back and it happens again.

The information on the Recent Games page states that we have two hours.
